Bauma 2025 makes its mark

Bauma 2025 is already taking shape: exhibitors such as Liebherr, Peri and Wirtgen started setting up their stands in October, around six months before the start of the event.

Companies returning to Bauma include Volvo, Deutz, Liugong, CNH, Skyjack and JLG. Companies such as Fortescue, DSI/Sandvik, HG—100% electric dumpers, EXiron AG, Gravis Robotics AG, Metso Oyj, rockrobot oy, Wabtec Corporation and WEICO GmbH are joining their ranks for the first time. Around 150 new exhibitors will also be present at this edition.

“Digitalization” and “sustainability” will remain the watchwords of the sector next year. Therefore, they are also reflected in the five key themes that bauma will address: climate neutrality, alternative drive concepts, networked construction, sustainable construction and the mining challenge. From Monday to Friday, the Bauma Forum will focus on one of these key themes. The program will include brief presentations, panel discussions and keynotes.

As part of the changes planned for 2025, the area dedicated to occupational safety and health will be centralized in hall B4. This strategic location provides visitors with a comprehensive overview of developments and technological advancements that will improve safety on construction sites.

Eleven research institutes will present innovative projects at the Bauma Science Hub. The Technical University of Munich will present, among other things, autonomous solutions for the transport of bulk goods and a paving robot. The University of Duisburg-Essen will present a cable robot for precise use on construction sites and the Technical University of Dresden will present ways to avoid accidents with a mobile excavator that can recognize humans.

Bauma 2025 will also offer young innovative companies the opportunity to present their ideas. Nearly 50 start-ups have registered to present their innovations and developments related to bauma’s main themes, including mobile robot technologies, the development of construction site digital twins, alternative drive systems, ultrasound technology in concrete production, autonomous crane solutions for digital construction sites in rough terrain as well as end-to-end software solutions and others that help businesses in the office and on the construction site.

Another special attraction will be the VR Experience Zone 2025, a partnership between the Construction Future Lab (CFLab) and Messe München. The interactive exhibition will combine a museum character with innovative technology and highlight the main future topics of the construction sector. Interested visitors will be able to watch demonstrations on topics such as construction robotics, alternative drive technologies, additive processes and the digitalization of machines and interfaces. The offer is complemented by interviews with experts and multimedia content.
