Bad news for Voo and customers: a price increase announced

Like its rival Proximus, decided to increase the prices of its subscriptions in January. Voo customers are also affected.

Voo has just announced in an email sent to its customers, the prices of its subscriptions will increase on January 1, 2025. However, almost all of the price increases only concern old offers from the operator. The operator adjusts its old rates, increased by €1 to €3.5 depending on the formula. However, everyone is affected, from -NET-TEL packs to mobile and Internet subscriptions. And casually, this still concerns many customers since only subscriptions marketed since August 2022 are exempt.

Details of the increases are available below:

The operator also announces a price increase for three current offers.

  • The “1P Light” Internet subscription goes from €29 to €30/month
  • The “Duo Net + TV Light” subscription goes from €57.5 to €59/month
  • The “Trio Net + TV + Tel Light” subscription goes from €68 to €70/month

Orange will also increase its prices, from January 19, 2025. This time, it is Mobile Go subscriptions which are affected – i.e. the operator’s old mobile subscription formula. Prices are increased by 3% across the entire range.

More surprisingly, Orange also announced a price increase for Orange TV, an offer which is still marketed, and which sees its price increase from 19 to 20€/month. The operator justifies this choice by the integration of the replay function, the increase in its costs and the modernization of its network.

Overall, it is more advantageous for Voo and Orange customers who are affected to switch to one of the new plans of the two operators. The announced price increase makes old offers less competitive and the operator has renewed numerous products in recent months. Changing the plan is free and should allow customers to save a few dozen euros per year, depending on the plan.
