The Senators are on the West Coast for their annual three-game trip to California against the Sharks, Kings and Ducks. They are in San Jose tonight to face the Sharks in the first game of a three-way road trip.
The game is scheduled for 10:30 p.m. Eastern Time. Fans can watch it on RDS or TSN5 or listen to it live on the radio on Unique FM or TSN 1200.
The Senators will try to make it two wins in a row after their 4-3 win against the Calgary Flames on Monday. Forwards Adam Gaudette, Drake Batherson, Cole Reinhardt and Brady Tkachuk all scored for the Senators. Reinhardt, who had been recalled from the Senators’ farm club in Belleville that same morning, scored the first goal of his NHL career.
It was a two-point night for the Senators: Brady Tkachuk (one goal, one assist), Drake Batherson (one goal, one assist), Ridly Greig (two assists) and Jake Sanderson (two assists).
Tonight’s game will be the first of two matchups between the Senators and Sharks in 2024-25. Last season, the two teams split the two-game series, posting a 1-1 record each. Just like the Senators, the Sharks will be looking for a second straight victory after winning 7-2 against the Kings on Monday night.
The Senators made a change to their roster yesterday by recalling defenseman Donovan Sebrango from Belleville. In 14 games with the Belleville Senators this season, Sebrango has two goals and four assists for a total of six points. If he plays tonight, it will be his very first NHL game.
Head coach Travis Green did not confirm his lineup for tonight’s game, but indicated that the presence of forward Noah Gregor would be decided just before the game. The identity of the goaltender has not been released, but Linus Ullmark was the first to leave the ice during practice earlier today. Forward Nick Cousins did not participate in the team’s practice today.
