For Jean-Marc Jancovici, president of the Shift Project, member of the High Council for the Climate, guest of the 20 Hours, Wednesday November 27, “oil, gas, coal are everywhere in agriculture”. The Shift Project surveyed 7,711 farmers to see if they were ready to commit to more virtuous agriculture. Everyone is aware of climate change and considers it to be the main threat to their business.
“There is strong concern about the consequences of climate change in French agriculture”, assures Jean-Marc Jancovici. Concerning pesticides, “a third of them consider themselves very concerned about the impact of phytosanitary products on biodiversity. Half of them consider be very concerned about the impact on the health of farmers”develops the member of the High Council for the Climate.
