A new “Dreyfus trial” according to Netanyahu
This Thursday, November 21, the ICC issued arrest warrants against Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for “crimes against humanity and war crimes”. An arrest warrant was also issued for the head of Hamas's armed wing Mohammed Deif. The Israeli leader compared the decision to a new “Dreyfus trial” and called the court “anti-Semitic.”
This decision by the judicial body based in The Hague provoked varied reactions from the international community, even among the 125 countries having ratified the Rome Statute which established the ICC.
