Sixteen years after an attempted murder of his ex-partner, he beats up the news

I know you look at me like a criminal, I just ask to be a simple person, to live like everyone else,” sobbed a 43-year-old man in the immediate appearance box, Tuesday, November 26. The president has just expressed his incomprehension, insisting that he, even less than the others, had the right to do it again.

On April 19, 2008, around 6 a.m., while intervening in the couple's apartment, a studio on Avenue Foch, in , the police discovered his partner in critical condition. Suffering forty-seven stab wounds and then scissor wounds, including a deep wound to the throat, the young woman's life was saved thanks to a compression stitch carried out by an official.

Returned in June 2010 to the Maine-et- Assize Court for attempted murder, the man was sentenced to twelve years' imprisonment as well as socio-judicial monitoring. The measure was to allow him to work on his immature personality and his victimizing postures linked to a childhood marked by major emotional deficiencies. The work proved insufficient.

“We missed a tragedy”

I will do everything to change, I commit to doing this therapy”, he moaned again. He is accused of aggravated violence due to two circumstances: the use of a weapon by destination and the vulnerability of the victim. On the evening of June 24, rue des Cordeliers, in , the man pushed his new partner to the ground before taking her crutch and beating her with it. Alerted by the victim's cries, witnesses intervened. When the police arrived, he was missing.

It all started with a photo of the young woman whose posture displeased him. Questioned about the blows delivered, the defendant kicks in: It's confusing, I don't remember.

We missed a tragedy,” scolds Claire Loumadine, the prosecutor. She is asking for a three-year prison sentence. Extremely severe requisitions,” replies Maëva Biger in defense. After police custody, his client was released under judicial supervision, with the obligation to contact his partner. The bond did not last twenty-four hours. I'm pregnant, I need him in my life”,manifests the young woman. In vain. Nicolas Corcy is sentenced to eighteen months' imprisonment with an order for immediate incarceration.
