A truck full of gold robbed, shots fired

This Wednesday morning, three armed men robbed a truck transporting gold in Saint-Ouen-l'Aumône, in Val-d'Oise, seizing loot estimated at 400,000 euros. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Events that occurred in the middle of an industrial zone

The criminals took action shortly after 11 a.m., in rue André-Ampère, located in the heart of the industrial zone of this town of 25,000 inhabitants, close to as reported by Actu17.

The robbed truck belongs to a jewelry manufacturing company. During the attack, two shots were fired by the robbers, but no one was injured. The trio loaded the loot into a black car before quickly fleeing.

An investigation entrusted to the BRB

The police immediately went to the scene to make observations and collect the first clues. The investigation was entrusted to the banditry suppression brigade (BRB) of the judicial police. Research is intensifying to identify and locate the perpetrators of this audacious attack.

A previous robbery last June

This robbery is reminiscent of another incident that occurred last June in the nearby Épluches district. Armed men attempted to rob a van carrying valuable goods belonging to the Temis company. Their attempt ended in failure, the criminals having fled empty-handed.

The Versailles BRB, already in charge of this case, is now seeking to determine whether the two robberies were perpetrated by the same group of criminals.

Call for witnesses

Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact police to help advance the investigation. This robbery once again highlights the need to strengthen security around the transport of valuables.
