Ceasefire takes effect between Israel and Hezbollah, ending nearly 14 months of fighting

Hezbollah precision missile factory hit in strike before deal – IDF

Overnight, shortly before the ceasefire took effect, the Israeli Air Force struck dozens of targets of the Lebanese Shiite terrorist group Hezbollah in Lebanon, including a major missile site precision, indicates the Israeli army.

Several waves of strikes, targeting some 330 Hezbollah sites, were carried out yesterday and overnight, until the ceasefire came into force at 4 a.m.

One of the strikes carried out last night in the Bekaa plain, near the Syrian border, targeted an underground Hezbollah precision guided missile manufacturing and storage site.

The IDF says it spent several hours bombing the kilometer-long underground site, as well as an adjacent Radwan force base, where it estimates several dozen Hezbollah terrorists were eliminated.

Shortly after midnight, another strike hit a border crossing between Syria and Lebanon, which the military said was used by Hezbollah to smuggle weapons. Syrian media reported six deaths in the strike.

Among the 330 Hezbollah sites struck before the ceasefire took effect, 42 were in Beirut, according to the IDF.

The Israeli military says another strike yesterday eliminated the operations chief of Hezbollah’s air force, known as Unit 127, which is responsible for drone and cruise missile attacks against Israel.
