AJAC rewards journalistic excellence at the 41st edition of the Journalism Awards

Female automotive journalists, the big winners of the 41e edition of the AJAC Journalism Awards.

It was in the modern decor with country accents of the Adamo vineyard in Mono, Ontario that the 41st took place on October 29e edition of the Automotive Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) Journalism Awards. It was time for reunions, but above all, for celebrations. During this evening, the AJAC rewarded more than twenty journalists who distinguished themselves in twelve categories. Each award was presented by a manufacturer or industry partner.

While the automotive journalism sector is largely dominated by men, the fairer sex stole the show, winning more than half of the distinctions, including the most awarded, that of Journalist of the year, presented by Jaguar Land Rover Canada, awarded to Stephanie Wallcraft.

Stephen Beatty, vice-president and general secretary, Toyota Canada Inc., received the Tony Sloga Award in recognition of consistent and outstanding support for the goals of automotive journalism in Canadawhile Brad and Isabel Diamond, Denis Duquet, Harry Pegg and Charles Renny left with the AJAC Outstanding Career Award.
