Asus Zenbook 14 OLED price, with Ryzen 7 8000 series, drops 25% during Black Friday Week

Very fluid OLED screen, powerful processor, generous battery life… The Asus Zenbook 14 OLED AMD version is not short of advantages. Do you want another one? Its price, which goes from 1,399.99 euros to 1,049.99 euros at Fnac and at Darty during Black Friday Week.

If the Asus Zenbook 14 OLED has been updated this year with the integration of a recent Intel Core Ultra chip, its 2024 AMD version should not be neglected. It is also less expensive, but no less interesting, with its quality OLED screen, its advanced configuration and its reassuring endurance. During this Black Friday Week, you can find this ultrabook priced at less than 1,100 euros.

The strong points of the Asus Zenbook 14 OLED

  • A very light and elegant laptop PC
  • A 14-inch OLED panel + 120 Hz
  • A powerful Ryzen 7 8840HS chip + 32 GB of RAM + 1 TB SSD

Previously priced at 1,399.99 euros, the Asus Zenbook 14 OLED is now offered at 1,049.99 euros at Fnac and Darty.

An ultrabook as attractive as ever

The design of the Asus Zenbook 14 OLED hasn’t changed much over the years and its updates, but it remains as pleasing to the eye as ever, with its elegant lines on top of its metal chassis. We also still appreciate its very contained weight, which does not exceed 1.2 kg; an ultrabook that you can carry anywhere without difficulty, in short. However, it is not free from small faults: its hinge is a little soft, and therefore not very reassuring, but it is really a detail. The keyboard keys could have given more feedback.

The Zenbook 14 clearly makes up for it thanks to its screen: here we are treated to a very pretty 14-inch OLED panel, which obviously promises very deep blacks and infinite contrasts. It also supports a maximum definition of 2880 x 1800 pixels, i.e. a 16:10 ratio, as well as a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz; enough to offer exemplary fluidity at all times. The color palette displayed is very extensive since the screen covers 121.1% of the DCI-P3 space. On the other hand, in terms of maximum brightness, it’s less crazy, with 389 cd/m². Difficult to read in direct sunlight, therefore.

Great for work

The Asus Zenbook 14 OLED has a configuration that makes it ideal for everyday tasks and productivity. Its AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS CPU, equipped with 8 cores which allow it to perform quite a few tasks simultaneously, and clocked at 3.3 GHz (boost up to 5.1 GHz), first of all promises good performance on various resource-intensive tasks, like video editing and photo editing. AMD’s AI is even involved in optimizing the use of the laptop. The processor is also supported by 32 GB of RAM; suffice to say that the ultrabook does not fear multitasking at all. This laptop PC finally integrates an AMD Radeon 780M graphics card, the same one found on the ROG Ally Z1 Extreme, by the way.

With such a configuration, efficient cooling is essential, and here, Asus does it flawlessly. The fans are barely activated and are not so terrible for heating which does not exceed 52°C at full synthetic load. In terms of battery life, the Asus Zenbook 14 OLED theoretically lasts 14 hours on a charge. Finally, on the connectivity side, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 are there, and regarding connectivity, this consists of a USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 port, a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port, a USB-C 4.0 port compatible with Thunderbolt 3 at 40 Gbps, an HDMI 2.1 port, a microSD card reader and a 3.5 jack port mm.
