FIRST PERIOD
(17:32) | The CH likes to play with fire. Joshua Roy sends the puck into the stands and receives the third consecutive penalty from his team. The good news for the club is that Samuel Montembeault is uncompromising in the face of the opponent’s 14 shots in the first period.
(15:05) | After Maveric Lamoureux missed a few minutes on the visitors’ side, CH returned to the penalty box. This time, Jake Evans is punished.

(6:58) | CH seems more energetic than Saturday and gets a few chances to score. Among others, Cole Caufield challenges Karel Vejmelka with a powerful shot from the circle, but the goalkeeper stands in front of him.
(0:42) | The local favorites start the match strong. Josh Anderson and Christian Dvorak threaten, forcing Nick Bjugstad to take a penalty. Despite the presence of Lane Hutson on the two waves of numerical advantage, the CH does not benefit from it.
(0:00) Start of the match.
Nothing obvious for both teams
It’s not easy for Utah these days, as Quebec coach André Tourigny’s men have won only one of their last four games.
The Habs, for their part, had been showing good things for four games before falling back into their old ways in front of the powerful Knights.
That’s probably why the group held a team meeting that stretched a little longer than usual after yesterday’s practice. With 20 games on the clock, the club has reached the quarter of its season and has not shown its best side most of the time.
The Habs coach, Martin St-Louis, did not seem to be overly concerned about the fact that the team occupies last place in the Atlantic section, yesterday at a press briefing.
“It doesn’t matter where we are, we have to keep moving forward,” he said. But our first ten matches hurt us a little. We are more difficult to face than we were.”
An expected reminder
The Canadian recalled Quebec striker Joshua Roy yesterday from the Laval Rocket in the American League, while his compatriot Rafaël Harvey-Pinard will benefit from a few more matches with the Laval school club in order to perfect your fitness.
Based on what was seen in yesterday’s training, Roy should play alongside Jake Evans and Emil Heineman in tonight’s match.
Press briefing Joshua Roy –
After showing great things during his 23 games with the team last season, Roy had a difficult training camp and began this season in Laval, where he did all he could, accumulating 16 points in 17 matches.
Much less bright in recent games, forwards Kirby Dach and Juraj Slafkovsky have suffered a sort of demotion, being paired with Joel Armia on what appears to be the fourth line. A unit which, if not very lively, will be heavy.
Defender Justin Barron will return to the Montreal lineup this evening. Jayden Struble was supposed to give up his place, but shortly before the warm-up, the CH announced that Mike Matheson had withdrawn due to a lower body injury. Struble can count himself lucky, as he will find himself in the first defensive pairing alongside Kaiden Guhle. Samuel Montembeault will be in front of the team’s net. It is also already confirmed that Cayden Primeau will be the team’s goalie tomorrow, against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
