EVENT. Fabrice Cormier is an entrepreneur who thinks outside the box. The man who is at the head of the eco-responsible clothing brand Héppie is organizing his very first fashion show in Drummondville, exclusive to members of his community.
The Drummondville resident has always dreamed of organizing such an event. The spark plug? A visit to a location on Lindsay Street in the city center. All the elements were in place for the fashion show to see the light of day.
Creation of the collection, design of the playlist, layout of the room: Fabrice Cormier embarked on this project with determination. “I really do it out of passion. I have a precise vision of my brand and the evolution I want it to have. I have an idea in mind and I want to make it happen,” he says.
As part of the event, Fabrice Cormier will unveil his new collection of balaclavas, made from recycled blankets and entirely made in Drummondville. Some models also come from collage works he had made for the cover.
“I saw an inspiration that came from completely elsewhere. I realized that there was none in Quebec. We agree that we have bad winters here. My goal is to become the reference in balaclavas in Quebec,” he says, explaining that it is an overcoat that is used for winter sports such as skiing, snowboarding or hiking. .
“It’s a masterpiece. There are not many copies of each model. You can make a collector’s item your own. It’s beautiful outfits. You can reflect your style with the pieces I make. There are a lot of colors and strong images,” he maintains.
The models presented in the fashion show will be exclusive to the event. So far, Fabrice has made around forty balaclavas. During the winter season, he wants to make around a hundred of them, while distributing them through different stores throughout the province.
Participants will be able to take part in an auction. “We are going to parade 12 balaclavas on the models who will walk on a treadmill. This is going to be how a typical auction works. You raise your card to bet. He’s going to have an auctioneer. If two people bet on the same thing, one of them will have to pay a little more to get it,” he explains.
In addition, a musical performance by the artist Anaïs Goulet will enhance the evening. “She’s a Drummondville resident who appeared on La Voix. I want to focus on local talent.”
And this is just the beginning. “I am already working on projects for 2025, 2026 and 2027. Each new collection I will try to do a fashion show. I want to bring something new each time,” he says.
