Two Rayados de Monterrey players involved in car accident

Jorge ‘Corcho’ Rodríguez and Brandon Vásquez were involved in a car incident in the Sultana del Norte; however, their participation in the playoffs remains intact.

In the last hours it was revealed that Jorge “Corcho” Rodríguez and Brandon Vázquez, players of Rayados de Monterrey, were involved in a car accident. This information was revealed in the RG La Deportiva show.

Despite the shocking images and videos showing the state of the luxury truck they were traveling in, the good news is that both footballers are doing well.

The accident occurred on Avenida Lázaro Cárdenas in Monterrey, Nuevo León, involving a rear-end collision that activated the vehicle’s airbags.

According to reports, Jorge Rodríguez did not suffer serious injuries and was assisted by teammate Brandon Vázquez while their vehicle was towed.

Rodríguez, a 29-year-old from Argentina, has played 12 matches in the Liga MX Apertura 2024, accumulating a total of 1,035 minutes on the pitch. In the previous tournament, he played 15 more matches and four more during the playoffs.

He is yet to score this season, but he hopes to have the opportunity to prove himself at the Finals if he is selected to play. His last match was in Day 16 against Puebla.
