Shaboozey’s record atop the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 ends with Gracie Abrams taking the top spot

Here’s No. 1 to No. 2. Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” was dethroned from the top spot on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 by Gracie Abrams’ new hit “That’s So True.”

Shaboozey set a record this year, surpassing Lil Nas However, as the year nears its end, this massive country crossover hit has been supplanted. In the ranking dated November 30, 2024, “That’s So True” reigns supreme with “Tipsy” moving to second place.

Abrams saw her fame rise significantly when she opened for Taylor Swift on her record-breaking Eras Tour, and she’s now reached No. 1 in Canada after a six-show run at Toronto’s Rogers Centre. His album The Secret of Us also reached No. 1 on the Canadian Albums Chart last week (it’s at No. 2 this week, overtaken by Linkin Park’s new album, From Zero the first with their new singer Emily Armstrong).

The fast-rising singer-songwriter actually anticipated things by telling the Toronto crowd that the song was already a No. 1 over the weekend, but now it’s official.

“Torontooooooo ❤️???? I will never forget these six concerts. You were so loud, so generous and so kind,” Abrams later wrote on Instagram. “Thank you for hanging out with us while we waited for @taylorswift who made me cry every night for the last two weekends. »

Shaboozey has a glimmer of hope. Her new single, “Good News,” released this month, debuts on this week’s Canadian Hot 100 at No. 52. “Tipsy” also tied Lil Nas

Shaboozey could further extend his Canadian Hot 100 record. It was briefly dethroned from the top spot this summer by Eminem’s “Houdini” and Post Malone & Morgan Wallen’s “I Had Some Help,” but it regained the top spot each time. But for now, the record is 25 weeks.
