Israel approved ceasefire agreement in Lebanon, truce will begin Wednesday at 3 a.m.

The Israeli security cabinet approved this Tuesday, November 26, the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon, where Israel is fighting the Islamist movement Hezbollah, said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office.

Israeli Prime Minister spoke on the phone with US President Joe Biden and thanked him “for his involvement” in order to conclude this agreement, specified the services of the Israeli Prime Minister. Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati said on Tuesday that the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah constituted a “fundamental step” towards regional stability.

Thanking Paris and Washington for their involvement in the truce agreement, Najib Mikati indicated that his government was committed to “strengthen the presence of the army in the south of the country”a stronghold of the Lebanese Islamist movement.
