Saturday November 23, 2024, ten members of the municipal civil security reserve of Brandérion (Morbihan) participated in an exercise to prepare them to intervene on the flooding of a basement after a violent storm.
This exercise took place at the municipal wash house, rue de Goulaine. The communal reserve, created by the municipality, has existed since 2016. On the orders of the mayor or deputies, we are required to intervene in floods, accidents, storms or other hazards, always in addition to emergency services, firefighters or police.

Several times a year
Volunteers prepare for these actions during exercises which take place several times a year. At the end of the year, we are taking advantage of the fact that the municipal wash house is grassed to prepare ourselves to intervene in the event of a flood,
continues the manager. On Friday, I sent out an alert message to mobilize the reservists.
Saturday morning, after collecting the equipment necessary for the intervention from the technical services, they went to the wash house. It’s a good action that allows us to practice an exercise in cohesion,”

Members of the reserve also participate in supervising ceremonies or other gatherings to ensure road safety.
The next meeting of the municipal reserve is now scheduled for December 6, 2024, for its annual general meeting, which will take place at 6:30 p.m., at the town hall.
