With parents like his, it’s hard not to find yourself in the spotlight. Deva Cassel, the eldest daughter of Monica Bellucci and Vincent Cassel, makes her film debut this Wednesday in The Beautiful Summerby Laura Marchetti. Adaptation of the eponymous novel by Cesare Pavese, the film tells the story of Ginia (Yile Yara Vianello), a shy young seamstress who will awaken to the world and to sensuality thanks to her meeting with Amelia (Deva Cassel), a young woman who serves as a model for painters in Turin in the 1930s.
“It was one of the most amazing, interesting, fun, deep and enriching experiences of my life. I learned so much in this working environment and being able to share all these emotions and moments with the other actors allowed me to learn a lot about myself”explained on Instagram Deva Cassel, who lights up the screen with her presence.
It must be said that the young woman knows how to play with the lens. Born September 12, 2004 in Rome, she began her modeling career at the age of 15 by becoming the face of Shine, the perfume of the Italian house Dolce & Gabbana, a brand of which her mother is also the ambassador . Like Lila Moss, Kaia Gerber or Grace Burns (the daughters of Kate Moss, Cindy Crawford and Christy Turlington), she follows in the footsteps of her illustrious mother and parades for the greatest creators.

Although her parents always protected her from the star system, the young woman who grew up with her sister Léonie (aged 15) between Paris, Rome and Rio de Janeiro quickly became one of the star models of her generation, posing for the most prestigious fashion magazines. “I grew up with this aura of nepotism, where people said I was a ‘nepo baby’ or privileged. I went through my adolescence being constantly compared to my mother. I love her, but I also suffered a little. I would be hypocritical to say that it was not a burden.she confided to Vogue Italy.
