The 40-year-old Romanian has already refereed the capital club three times since 2019.
Five goals in each match
With an average of less than five yellow cards per match over his 24 appearances in the Champions League (three red cards), Istvan Kovacs left one last, rather positive memory for the Parisians. This season, the referee has already been on the whistle for two matches, during Inter's success against Arsenal (1-0), and Real Madrid's comeback against Dortmund (5-2). He was also one of the players in Euro 2024, refereeing Slovenia – Serbia and Czech Republic – Türkiye.
