The old restored farm located in Obourg was one of the three finalists alongside Envol Ressourcesrie de Soignies and Elevage de la Petite Suisse de Lompret. She won the Sustainable Development Prize of the Province of Hainaut.
It is a very local project which was rewarded by the Hainaut Horizons Prize, sustainable development prize of the Province of Hainaut. La Cour des Dames stood out thanks to its ambitious renovation project of an old farm in Obourg. The complex includes a short-circuit restaurant but also 900 m² of greenhouses with solar panels, an eco-parking lot and eight cisterns to collect rainwater.
It doesn’t stop there since in the next three years, La Cour des Dames plans not only the development of a processing kitchen to absorb all the vegetables produced by the market gardeners, but also the installation a store selling vegetables and processed products. Guest rooms should also be created.
Projects which will create, in the short term, around ten new permanent jobs on the site.
The student prize and the public prize go to L’Envol Ressourcesrie de Soignies.
