10-year-old girl in coma after fire dies from her injuries

A 10 year old girl died Monday November 25.

Since Sunday, she was in the coma following a fire.

The latter declared itself while she was occupying Airbnb accommodation with her family, in Furdenheim (Bas-Rhin), a town not far from Strasbourg.

Last Sunday, a little girl was staying with her parents and her three sisters in an old farmhouse renovated on the theme of Harry Potterlocated in Furdenheim.

Shortly before 5 a.m., a fire broke out in the building while the family was sleeping.

A judicial investigation is underway

The parents and their three youngest daughters managed to escape. But the eldest got stuck in the attic.

Finally evacuated by the firefighters, she was taken in absolute emergency to the Hautepierre University Hospital.

Alexandre Chevrier, the interim public prosecutor of Strasbourg, told News Strasbourgthat “an investigation is underway to determine the precise circumstances of the fire and the possible criminal responsibilities. »
