The Dior Gallery, located at 30 Montaigne in , unveils a unique piece: the gold dress worn by Rihanna in the advertising campaign for the famous Dior J'adore fragrance. An exceptional creation that embodies the opulence of luxury couture.

A tailor-made outfit for an iconic muse

On September 1, 2024, Dior revealed a new facet of its iconic J'adore perfume, choosing Rihanna as its muse. After Charlize Theron and Carmen Kass, the Barbadian star brings a sensual modernity to the countryside, immortalized at the Palace of by Steven Klein. To dress this icon, Maria Grazia Chiuri, artistic director of Dior, designed a custom dress, embroidered with gold and light.

This strapless dress is the result of the know-how of the Dior workshops and Vermont embroiderers. Thousands of hours of work were necessary to adorn the piece with pearls and sequins forming a precious constellation. Faithful to the spirit of the New Look, the design combines a structured corset and a cowl neckline at the back, enhancing Rihanna's silhouette while meeting her requirements: highlighting her body with light, transparent fabrics like silk tulle .

Couture details that shine on screen

The outfit is not limited to the dress. The Dior J'adore campaign also highlights a golden tulle cape, described as a “golden cloud”, and an iconic choker reinvented by the Dior workshops. This necklace, composed of pearls of progressive sizes, evokes the heritage of the perfume while adding a contemporary touch. Completed with beaded mittens, the outfit reflects the power of gold, the central theme of the exhibition.

This exceptional creation, now exhibited at La Galerie Dior, celebrates the union between haute couture and advertising art. In the “The Power of Gold” room, visitors can admire this dress which symbolizes both the innovation and heritage of Dior, while rediscovering the sumptuous world of J’adore perfume.
