The gendarmes wanted to control it: the IGGN seized after the death of a minor on a motorcycle in Côtes-d'Armor

The General Inspectorate of the National Gendarmerie (IGGN) was contacted after the death of a 15-year-old minor on a two-wheeler in Ploubezré (Côtes-d'Armor), which the gendarmes wanted to check. This was announced on Monday November 25, 2024 by the Saint-Brieuc public prosecutor's office. During the night from Saturday to Sunday, “it appears to result that the gendarmerie crew had decided to carry out a check on the moped rider, after noting that the vehicle's registration plate appeared to be partly obscured”indicated in a press release the public prosecutor of Saint-Brieuc, Nicolas Heitz.

“The miner died after hitting a wall with his 600 cc vehicle”

“Despite the sound and light warnings being activated, the driver accelerated then braked several times, without stopping at the injunctions thus formulated”continued the magistrate, specifying that the minor died when he hit a wall with his 600 cc vehicle.

“As it stands, no trace of impact was observed between the gendarmerie vehicle and the motorcycle,” which belonged to the young man's family, specifies the prosecutor. The body of the young man was transported to the Medico-Legal Institute for a complete analysis of the medical causes of death.
