The “Justice for Dieynaba” collective published a press release to once again denounce the detention of Dieynaba Ndiaye, describing this situation as unacceptable. On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, this collective, made up of citizens and women's rights activists, demands the immediate and unconditional release of Dieynaba so that she can rebuild your life with dignity, surrounded by loved ones.
Women's rights advocates also highlight the need to strengthen protection measures for survivors of male violence, ensuring their safety and access to justice. In their press release, they call on the Order of Physicians of Senegal to break its silence with regard to the predatory doctor, Alioune Badara Mbacké.
“At the start of the 16 days of activism, this Monday, November 25, Dieynaba will be the face of our campaign for the safety of all women facing violence,” declared the collective. They emphasize that male violence constitutes a real scourge in Senegal and that it is rooted in our society. “It is a fight that must mobilize all citizens, including the President of the Superior Council of the Magistracy of Senegal, His Excellency Bassirou Diomaye D. Faye,” they add.
For the collective, the fight against violence against women should be among the priorities of the current government and the next legislature. They call for collective awareness to put an end to this systemic problem.
