Yohan Cabaye: “Moments that are priceless”

Present on Sunday to celebrate the 80th anniversary of LOSC, Yohan Cabaye took a very complimentary look at the evolution of the club since his departure in 2011. Above all, the former midfielder believes that this kind of event is particularly valuable.

Yohan, what is your feeling about this event to celebrate LOSC’s 80th anniversary?

There are all generations who have passed through the club. Even though we didn't all play together, we had some great times together, reminiscing. It's really great, a great moment. Thank you to the club for organizing this event, for thinking of everyone. I am very happy to be here.

Who did you discover, who could have made an impact on you?

Fernando D'Amico, who I didn't know. When I was younger, he was a player that I admired, that I looked at with big eyes. I was able to talk with him, understand what he was doing now. These are moments that are priceless. If I was able to do everything I did afterwards in my career, it is mainly thanks to , to the values they gave me, work, respect. I grew up with this club. I am very happy to have this moment.

What is your view on its recent development?

It's great. It's deserved. When I started playing, we didn't have the same infrastructure. The club developed and grew quietly. He is still there today at the highest French level, fighting every year to play in the European Cup. In the Champions League, the results are very positive. The evolution is very good. When you work well, there are no secrets.
