A 10-year-old girl died in hospital after a fire at an AirBnb tourist accommodation in Furdenheimnear Strasbourg, in Bas-Rhin, on the morning of Sunday November 24, France Bleu Alsace learned on Monday. Three of the children of the couple who rented the two-story house managed to get out, but the little girl was found in the attic by firefighters.
In cardio-respiratory arrest, she was evacuated through a skylight, emergency services managed to resuscitate her, before transporting her, in a coma, to Hautepierre hospital in Strasbourg. She succumbed to her injuries.
The investigation is continuing to determine the circumstances of the tragedy, in particular whether this furnished tourist accommodation was declared. From now on, it no longer appears on the Airbnb website or on social networks. It is also not part of the accommodation listed by the tourist office of the Kochersberg community of communes.
