“We want to make the match as complicated as possible for them,” says Kane before Bayern-PSG

Bayern’s English striker and his coach, Vincent Kompany, spoke at a press conference this Monday, on the eve of the reception of -SG on Tuesday in C1.

Bayern Munich must win their last four matches to hope to finish in the top 8, Harry Kane said on Monday on the eve of hosting Paris-SG, after a complicated start to the group phase in the Champions League. With 6 points out of 12 possible and two away defeats against Aston Villa (1-0) and FC Barcelona (4-1), the Munich residents occupy 17th place in the standings halfway through the group stage. The first eight qualify directly for the round of 16 with the advantage of receiving the return match, while the teams classified from 9th to 24th place at the end of the eight days go through a play-off match. The Parisian situation is even more complicated with two points less.

“We are not used to being this low in the rankings. We know the situation we are in. If we want to finish in the top 8, we almost have to win all our matches, and this is also the case for PSG. It’s going to be a big game tomorrow night.”explained Harry Kane at a press conference.

It’s going to be a top match.

Vincent Kompany, Bayern coach

“The only thing I can say is that you need three wins to qualify for the play-offs, and six wins for the round of 16”once again hammered Bayern coach Vincent Kompany, for whom it is difficult to draw conclusions with the current ranking, and the match programs remaining to be played are quite different from one team to another. “We are playing against one of the great teams in Europe, they have an incredible coach, they play with a lot of speed. It’s going to be a top match. I don’t expect to have a boring match.”underlined Kompany, for whom the current PSG team is not “absolutely not the weakest, not at all”despite the departures in recent seasons (Neymar, Messi, Mbappé).

“Against Paris tomorrow, it will be a complicated match, that’s for sure. They have a good team, they want to dominate the game with possession. We also play the same way, that’s what we want to do at home tomorrow night. We want to make the match as complicated as possible for them.”warned Harry Kane, who has already scored 20 goals this season (14 in the Bundesliga, 5 in C1 and 1 in the Cup). “Playing at home is a slight advantage. It’s the start of a busy period for us until the winter break”added Kane.
