UA 17-year-old teenager was indicted for the murder of a 22-year-old man, killed by a stab wound during the night from Saturday to Sunday in Luxeuil-les-Bains (Haute-Saône), said the Besançon public prosecutor’s office on Monday.
The young girl was presented Monday afternoon to the Besançon criminal center and indicted for murder, the prosecution told AFP, which requested her placement in pre-trial detention.
During the night from Saturday to Sunday, an argument between two people broke out in an apartment in Luxeuil-les-Bains, following an evening attended by four men and a woman who consumed drugs and alcohol.
During this altercation, “the 22-year-old young man tried to intervene and he received a single stab wound to the chest”, indicated Monday morning the public prosecutor of Vesoul, Arnaud Grécourt.
Witnesses called emergency services, but the young man died on the spot and all participants in the evening were taken into police custody.
The suspect, not in school and unemployed, was designated by the three young men present at the time of the incident as being the perpetrator, Mr. Grécourt said.
The Vesoul public prosecutor’s office had withdrawn the case in favor of the criminal center of Besançon.
