LEGO YOUR Lord of the Rings is rumored to receive two sets under the Icons banner next year, and one would do well to expand on the other.
Rumors of a new LEGO YOUR Lord of the Rings set for 2025 recently culminated in Instagram user Clay Brick reporting that 10354 Bag End will manifest in April 2025. With this latest report came another notable piece of information: this should be one of two LEGO YOUR Lord of the Rings The first two sets will be released next year. As of this writing, there are no other rumors regarding the second box set, other than that it should arrive after 10354 Cul-de-sac.
Since the Lord of the Rings’ return to the LEGO portfolio, it has mainly focused on larger sets under the Icons banner but there has also been a range of LEGO YOUR Lord of the Rings BrickHeadz. Since BrickHeadz is a separate theme from LEGO Icons, we can deduce that this second 2025 set being talked about is not another BrickHeadz or two.
This leaves many possibilities with a couple that are more likely than others. A couple smaller and more affordable LEGO YOUR Lord of the Rings set after 10316 The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell and 10333 The Lord of the Rings: Barad-dûr may be preferable for LEGO enthusiasts. A safe bet for the LEGO Group would be another massive model, but it would break the trend of just one huge location-based model per year that we’ve seen so far.
The supposed name of 10354 Bag End implies that it will only cover Bilbo and Frodo’s house, focusing less on the rest of Hobbiton. 10333 The Lord of the Rings: Barad-dûr, a connected LEGO Icons gift with purchase was released as 40693 The Lord of the Rings: Fell Beast. Whether as a model to purchase or as a gift to give, a smaller set to connect or display alongside 10354 Bag End would work well. If it arrives later than the Bag End version we’re talking about, that may rule out it being a gift to give, as they tend to be given in the first few days of a set’s launch.
Another version of 9469 Gandalf Arrives would be suitable as a set suitable for a massive Bag End, although a remake of the 83-piece model may be unrealistic for a 2025 set. Instead, an expansion of this build to represent the group of Bilbo Baggins as LEGO Ideas user Ponoury created would display well next to a large Cul-de-Sac.
There probably wouldn’t be a need for new parts, but there would still be decent potential for figures of various Hobbits that we haven’t yet seen in figure form, perhaps also repeating the figures from 10354 Bag End. A smaller set representing another new location like Minas Tirith might not fully exploit the potential of that area, but a build designed to expand another newer set without distracting from its contents might be a wiser strategy.
This is all speculation based on current rumors. We might be treated to a pair of big LEGO YOUR Lord of the Rings sets next year, but with any luck regarding our budgets, this second set will hopefully turn out to be another LEGO YOUR Lord of the Rings gift with purchase or a more affordable model. Take all LEGO rumors should be listened to with caution until an official announcement is made.
Here’s what is currently rumoured and confirmed for LEGO Icônes next year as it seems that we’re in for a varied year.

LEGO has been part of my life since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down the 7657 AT-ST to me. He guided me through my early years, through school and ultimately to my journalism degree. I have always proudly displayed my entire collection, including my many Ninjago sets, my favorite of all the LEGO Group themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I’m an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
