The man suspected of having killed an 81-year-old woman in (Loir-et-Cher) was indicted for “murder of a vulnerable person” and placed in pre-trial detention. The victim's body was found locked in a travel bag by a walker and her dog on Friday, November 22, as indicated by the prosecution in a press release relayed on social networks. According to information from The New Republicthe suspect was considered “uncomfortable” by some residents of his building.

In conflict with the victim

Two neighbors explain that the retiree was in conflict with the man who occupied the accommodation above hers. “He vacuumed in the middle of the night, regularly let his shower tray overflow, at any time, and the water ran in” the octogenarian, according to those around him. On the day of the tragedy, the victim intended to go talk to his neighbor. The retiree's cleaning lady immediately directed the police towards the thirty-year-old.

The man, with no criminal record, did not work and had been placed under guardianship until the death of his mother. He was interned in a psychiatric hospital in 2009 but has not been treated since. “We knew almost nothing about him, not even his first name,” say the local residents.

Projections were also discovered in the suspect's home, which could not be found. The latter presented himself three days later at the police station, surprised by the seals placed on his door. He was immediately taken into custody by the police.

Faced with investigators, the 35-year-old man declared “having discovered his neighbor deceased at her home, cleaning the home of all traces of blood and having transported her body to the forest using a bag” 3 kilometers from there, according to the prosecution.
