In Tarascon-sur-Ariège, a fire broke out this Monday, November 25, in a paint booth at the CMA company.
This Monday, November 25, 2024 around 11 a.m., firefighters intervened in the town of Tarascon-sur-Ariège for a fire in a paint booth of the company Construction Chaudronnerie Aéronautique (CMA), specializing in fine boilermaking aeronautics.
Two volunteer firefighters, employees of CMA, took the lead and extinguished the fire even before help arrived. A salutary operation which made it possible to limit the damage. Two firefighting trucks, a large ladder, an ambulance and a group leader were still mobilized, for a total of 27 firefighters at the height of the intervention.
Despite the disaster being quickly brought under control, eight employees were affected by the smoke. After an initial medical assessment carried out on site by the nurse, six of them were transported to the emergency room of the Ariège Valleys Intercommunal Hospital Center (Chiva) for additional examinations.
