Pont-Audemer: a 33-year-old man shot dead found in the fire station

And 33-year-old resident of Pont-Audemer (Eure) died during the night from Friday to Saturday, hit by gunshots. Information from our colleagues atAwakening of Pont-Audemer was confirmed by the mayor of the town, Alexis Darmois, France Blue Normandyand by the Évreux public prosecutor's office.

During the night from Friday to Saturday, this 33-year-old resident of Pont-Audemer arrived with a friend “on what was clearly a meeting place for a drug transaction”explains the public prosecutor of Evreux. Two cars are on site, several people are getting out. The 33-year-old man and his friend try to leave, but they are shot with weapons of different calibers.

The man in the passenger seat is seriously injured, “the driver manages to drive to the Pont-Audemer fire station”continues the public prosecutor. The passenger, found in the barracks, was declared dead by emergency services. The driver, also targeted by gunfire, “was lucky not to be hit.”

The shooters are on the run. An investigation for “organized gang murder and attempted organized gang murder” was opened by the Évreux public prosecutor's office.
