Saturday morning, Maryse née Huet and Louis Philippe Flouriot celebrated their golden wedding anniversary, in the town hall where they were married fifty years ago, in 1974. They were surrounded by their family and friends.
They had settled in the village of Kéruzeau. She was a worker in Guingamp and he worked at Erauzo, in Lanvollon. The couple gave birth to two daughters, Sonia, in 1975 and Sandrine, in 1979.
A new beginning presents itself to the young couple. In 1976, Louis Philippe completed an internship at the Vannes police academy. He will be assigned to the Paris region, to Herblay, and will continue his career at Bac de Paris. He will end his career in Concarneau.
Maryse Flouriot, for her part, worked for twenty years for a lighting seller.
Louis Philippe retired in 2007. They then settled in Plouézec. Maryse worked for another nine years.
Then, everyone devoted themselves to their passion, him, hunting and fishing and she, playing lotto games. “This passion was passed on to me by my mother, Yvette,” she confides.
After reading the original marriage certificate, both spouses renewed their vows by signing the register. The mayor, Xavier Compain, presented “his wishes for their union to continue in health and tranquility, in the affection of their loved ones”, by giving them an honorary diploma.
