The Sonos Era 300 marks a departure from previous models on several levels. It already integrates Dolby Atmos technology, a feature usually reserved for home cinema. With services like Apple Music, Tidal or Amazon Music constantly expanding their Dolby Atmos catalog, if you like music and are picky about sound, this is a good pick. The Era 300 uses transducers oriented on several axes to simulate vertical and lateral spatialization of sound, an impressive feat for a compact model.

On the design side, Sonos is also innovating: a curved shape reminiscent of a diabolo, combining matte PVC and aluminum acoustic grilles. This speaker weighs 4.5 kg, a weight which can be explained in particular by its six speakers positioned for optimal sound reproduction. Touch controls on top add a modern touch and make interaction easier. However, its imposing dimensions (26 x 16 x 19 cm) make it a device that requires space.
