The hairdryer explodes in her hands: the improbable story of a young woman who ends up in hospital while doing a favor for a friend

She had collected the package for a friend on November 15, 2024, in the state of Karnataka, India, reports The Independantspotted by France live.

The young woman then opens the box, which contains several devices including a hair dryer. Her friend asked her to test it to see if it worked, which she did. The device then explodes in his hands, causing him serious injuries.

Severely burned hands

A short circuit was the cause of the explosion according to The Independant. A more in-depth investigation is underway. The possibility of a criminal act is examined, against the backdrop of previous differences between the two women.

The victim, who suffered severe burns to his fingers and palms, is still being treated at a local hospital.

In the complaint, the act was described as “dangerous” taking into account the conditions. The complainant mentioned burns “graves” et “disfiguring” on the upper chest, breasts, legs, left buttocks and right arm, with “disfigurement and scarring on the five areas affected by the burns.”
