OM, who won in Lens on Saturday, now want to repeat this type of performance at home, where they have much more difficulty.
By winning 3-1 on the Lens pitch this Saturday, OM have already won their sixth away match of the season, in seven matches. The Marseille club is thus easily the best team in Ligue 1, far from its bases. However, this contrasts with disappointing performances at the Vélodrome, where OM are the 17th team in the championship with only 5 points in 5 matches.
OM's objective is therefore clear: to reproduce successful away matches, like the one in Lens, but at home. “Now we have to work to prepare for Monaco (next Sunday) which will be a difficult meeting. We will want to play a match of this level at the Vélodrome,” assured Roberto De Zerbi at a press conference.
“That’s precisely the goal: to reproduce this type of match at the Vélodrome. I think we still have a lot of room for improvement as a team. The next home match against Monaco is the perfect opportunity to win and show this conquering face,” said Géronimo Rulli, in the mixed zone.
