Alongside the work of his Club, Ville, Rail & Transports awards prizes rewarding personalities who, through their action within an association, a local authority, a private or public company, or an administration, have advanced transport on the Île-de- France.

These prizes will reward the author(s) of initiatives allowing, for example, to reduce the cost of transport, to improve a project or a passenger transport or urban logistics service, to better manage road traffic, to modernize existing installations, to improve services in a station or a station, to better manage the conduct of a project.

16h30 – 17h00 : Welcoming participants and speakers

17h00 – 17h05 : Opening of the conference by Laurent Probst, General Director of Île-de-France Mobilités

17h05 – 18h30 : Conference “How can we reconcile new behaviors and mass transport?

The health crisis has changed behavior and accelerated underlying trends. In Ile-de-France, the use of bicycles has increased and the metro is experiencing a significant decline in popularity. If we can expect teleworking, a welcome smoothing of peak hours for the transport system, the polarization of jobs in Ile-de-France, the very strong demand for transport, and the major role that this will play fact of mass transit cannot, however, be called into question. Hence the extension work undertaken on the metro and Eole, the call for tenders on Nexteo or the orders for new trains…

What are the effects of teleworking? Should we give ourselves new priorities? How can we modernize the transport system to make it more efficient?
