FOOTBALL The OAC cracks the OM reserve at the end of the match

Thanks to a goal from Baana Jaba in the 81st minute, the OAC regained victory against the OM reserve after two consecutive defeats in the league. A great operation for Hakim Malek's men.

The OAC has been patient. Dominating the entire match, the OAC won with the smallest score (1-0) during the 9th day of N3. Under freezing temperatures, Pibarot had a good turnout this Saturday evening. The presence of 1991 Ballon d'Or Jean-Pierre Papin, accompanied by the OM reserve team, surely had a lot to do with it, if we are to believe the number of young people waiting for him at the bottom of the stands. However, JPP's men did little to endanger Lucas Franco's teammates. From the first quarter of an hour, the latter came closer to opening the scoring with a superb control-strike attempt which went very close to the target. The tone was set. Despite an excellent start, the Blues and Whites are unable to make it happen. Franco (17th), him again, then Kubota (37th) come very close to opening the mark. In vain. The two teams return to the locker room with a goalless draw (0-0), while the OAC could have benefited from a penalty in the 27th minute. The Olympians can thank their goalkeeper Théo Vermot, who had to deploy several times to avoid damage.

Strong Children, opportunist

Returning from the locker room, the Marseillais appeared a little more threatening, but without much danger for the OAC. A handball on the edge of the area on the hour mark could have earned the visitors a red card for an action destroyed, but the referee did not decide that. A few minutes later, JPP's men finally gave a thrill: their attack hit the bar after some nice offensive work. A first alert for the Oacians. The two teams gradually tired, until a nice breakthrough from Alpha Kubota in the 81st minute. Author of an excellent match, like all of his teammates, the winger spills over onto the right side and sends a sublime cross to the far post. Wilfried Baana Jaba, barely recovered from physical discomfort and ideally placed, just had to catapult the ball with his head into the back of the net. The score will no longer move. Lucas Franco, given a standing ovation upon his exit at the end of the match, led a solid team. After a promising start to the season marked by a slowdown in the championship, the OAC showed impeccable mentality and a very good face this evening. A deserved victory. Next meeting: AS in Pibarot, for the 8th round of the Coupe de .
