Smoke in the aisles in the Carrefour d'Houdemont shopping mall, an unusual situation for customers of this well-known store in the Nancy suburbs.
It was a roaster that caught fire. “This happens because when roasting the temperature can rise up to 250 degrees” explains Arnaud Legras, director of the Marché et cafés store, somewhat disappointed. “Fortunately the fire did not spread to the store“.
More fear than harm, even if customers had to be evacuated and the store will have to close for a few days.
As for the firefighters, the fire was under control before their arrival. The conduit has been dismantled. Two vans and a truck with a ladder were mobilized.
