today's rise has a 2021 feel!

The return of the elders is definitively sealed!

The crypto “dinosaurs” are out and this should delight a good number of holders. Indeed, since cryptocurrencies like XRP, XLM, ADA and others have achieved the best performances in the last 24 hours.

If some had abandoned their old tokens at the worst moment of the bear market, those who did not wish to sell their assets at a low price can finally rejoice. Even if we are not yet at the previous record highs, the performances are interesting for many of these cryptocurrencies which triumphed in 2021.

No same coins in the lead today, since the best performance is to be credited to Stellar's XLM, which at this rate will quickly reach a new ATH. While the token's record dates from 2018, 2024 is already a success for XLM. Coming out of nowhere, he took off for the moon, gaining 53.64%. At the time of writing, the asset is trading at 43 cents, still down from its 2018 record (54.83%), but very close to the 2021 peak: $0.65. The XLM did the job and it did it very well!

Even though Stellar is far ahead of the rest, many other cryptocurrencies from the previous cycle are regaining height. We are thinking in particular of Cardano's ADA, which is impressive over the last 30 days (200% increase). Today's gains are 22.78% and ADA is back above the dollar.

Then, we find the VET of Vechain (19.68%), ALGO (19.33%), AVAX (18.94%) or the much mocked “stablecoin” ATOM (17.44%).

But still, Ripple's XRP also continued to rise. While the departure of Gary Gensler has been recorded, assets continue to climb. Finally, Polkadot's DOT gained 14.11% while POL (formerly MATIC) was also up, with a gain of 12.88%. Unheard of for quite some time for the Polygon piece.

Moral of the story: the old ones have a good time in cryptocurrencies.
