Rudy Demotte once again attacks the practices of the PS: “Struggle for places surely, forgotten class struggle” after the withdrawal of Laetitia Liénard

Rudy Demotte also reacts on the choice of the new deputies chosen by the PS, two men, Eric Massin (Charleroi) and Pascal Lafosse (Mons): “Out of two PS representatives, no place for a socialist woman in the provincial executive, in total disrespect of the gender parity of which our party champions. No recommendation, no intervention from the party at the French-speaking level. We wash our hands of it. The Pontius Pilates will recognize each other.

The problem remains the same as during the first intentions for the majority pact, an unequal balance of power between the different PS federations of Hainaut. “As for Picardy Wallonia, let’s talk about itcontinues Rudy Demotte. Our federation (like the Center) was sold at a discount for the benefit of the powerful federations of Mons-Borinage and Charleroi. The domination is total, implacable, and the result is clear: every other expression, every alternative voice, has been crushed. But let these powerful federations be careful, the bastions are being lost on the flanks.

The former minister president of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation believes that the future of his party could be very dark. He ends: “The Socialist Party, which I have long defended and believed to carry a real project for the future for all, now seems to be on a dangerous slope. It is becoming common, even distressing to say it, the struggle for places has clearly replaced the class struggle, in defiance of the founding values of socialism. Modest people, workers, sincere activists are sacrificed to guarantee the income of a small circle of privileged diehards. It's unworthy. This is contemptuous of voters and politically suicidal. The Socialist Party has not finished its descent into hell, and at this rate, it is certain that it will continue to lose the confidence of those it is supposed to represent. One question remains and bothers me: what future remains for a party that forgets its foundations and tramples on its own values for the sake of political games? If he thinks he can save himself tomorrow by changing his name or his appearance, think again. His political karma will pursue him. I remain deeply socialist. I do not recognize myself in the party of which I have been a member for 45 years. I regret, even if I understand, Laetitia's decision. His departure makes way for those who do not deserve it. Laetitia takes hope with her. And with it many faithful, sympathizers and voters who will no longer trust the political group that betrayed it.
