Social networks: has X (ex-Twitter) become toxic and conspiratorial?
It is an epidemic that spreads very quickly. Companies, press titles and individuals are leaving the social network X (formerly Twitter). Sud Ouest is the second press title that has decided to slam the door on the social network X (formerly Twitter). Nicolas Sterckx, general manager of the Sud Ouest group, was the guest of Info.

It is an epidemic that spreads very quickly. Companies, press titles and individuals are leaving the social network X (formerly Twitter). Sud Ouest is the second press title that has decided to slam the door on the social network X (formerly Twitter). Nicolas Sterckx, general manager of the Sud Ouest group, was the guest of France Info.

With 800,000 subscribers on the social network X (formerly Twitter), the Sud-Ouest group seems to be losing visibility, at least in the world of social networks. The title in fact has four times more subscribers than the number of titles sold each day. A proportion that must be put into perspective for the general director of the press group: “We also look at the audiences and those who come from Twitter represent less than 0.1% of our audience.”

Since the acquisition of the social network by the American billionaire Elon Musk, the social networks Twitter – which later became Paid content is ultimately given more prominence than serious content,” laments Nicolas Sterckx.

“We are a regional body. We have 370 journalists who carry out serious work every day and somewhere, we don't find our way and we can't find our place in this ecosystem,” he continues.
