Stade Malherbe Caen was notified before the arrival of Rodez. The Aveyronnais, in full confidence, are capable of terrible offensive efficiency (Thirteen goals in the last four matches). They proved it again this Friday evening by being on the verge of winning at Ornano. If the SMC obtained the first opportunity of the match through Alexandre Mendy in the 2nd minute of play, it was the Ruthenois who opened the scoring on an error from Noé Lebreton, an unintentional decisive passer for Ibrahima Baldé (13th). Caen by Bilal Brahimi took advantage of the opportunity to get back on level terms and erase the delay (51st). We thought Malherbe was relaunched, but that was without counting on Rodez's ability to weigh offensively. Nkada scored Rodez's 3rd goal two minutes after this equalizer (53rd). And without Yannis Clémentia (67 and 69th), the SMC could have found itself trailing again by two goals.

We had to wait until the last quarter of an hour and Nicolas Seube's coaching shots to see Rodez retreat a little and the Caennais finish the match. And it was on a final corner that Malherbe snatched a draw through his defender Daylam Meddah (50th). A miracle which will not erase the difficult evening experienced by the Caennais.
