Direct Assurance victim of a data leak, RIB and IBAN in nature

Every day there is a new attack and the cybercriminal group near2tlg seems to be hyperactive. After Le Point, SFR and Mediboard, hackers targeted Axa's insurance brokerage subsidiary.

near2tlg strikes again. The hacker group, which has already distinguished itself by hitting Le Point, SFR and even the health software Médiboard, is doing it again by attacking Direct Assurance. The “No. 1 in Online Insurance”, which has not yet officially reacted, would have been the victim of a data breach.

Some 6,000 customers and 9,000 prospects whose information was stolen by cybercriminals. Names, first names, email addresses and telephone numbers have been leaked and, more seriously, for 5,600 of them, the RIB and IBAN are also in the hands of the pirates.

The compromise dates from November 14, “ with employee access » assures the group. According to our information, the cybercriminal group would have proceeded by attacking a Direct Assurance service provider. It should be noted that the hackers declared on an infamous forum that they had previously warned the victim companies of the existence of “ security vulnerabilities » in their systems.
