Available since October 31, Dragon Age: The Veilguard was rather well received on a technical level, with successful optimization on the different platforms. The game also suffered from some bugs, which the studio has now corrected via a new update.
A new update is available
This third update mainly corrects bugs which affected gameplay, quests, objects or even interactions with NPCs, while several improvements linked to quality of life are also proposed.
Below you will find the complete patch note for this update which can be downloaded without further delay on consoles and PC.

Miscellaneous changes
- Arrow keys can now be linked to input mappings.
- Filters have been added to photo mode.
- Photo mode screenshot file names have been simplified and indicate the date the photo was taken.
- The path to the file where screenshots are saved is now shown in-game when a screenshot is taken in photo mode.
- It is now easier to identify where an enchantment has been applied to a companion's equipment.
- Adjusted the description of the Glow option in Settings.
- New rings can now be compared to both equipped ring slots.
- A notification now appears when the Crossroads Spirit Merchant is available.
- Added new icons for certain weapons.

- Removed causes of a small number of crashes.
- Rook's body shape no longer changes unexpectedly after a scene with Emmrich.
- Fixed a strange facial expression when Rook meets Emmrich for the first time.
- Adjusted the volume of Spite's voice in certain scenes.
- Fixed a few cases where music stopped incorrectly.
- Fixed some cases where unwanted music or sound effects were played.
- Antaam champions now correctly deal slightly more damage.
- Mages Rooks no longer move awkwardly to the right after performing a prolonged dodge.
- Rogue's skill “Outsider's Bite” now correctly says “Enhanced Damage” instead of “Enhanced Damage.”
- Fixed a few cases where enemies could be blocked or inaccessible in certain areas.
- Fixed a few cases where companions could get stuck on balance beams.
- Bellara can no longer charge Rook's Ultimate indefinitely outside of combat.
- Emmrich's attack stat is now displayed correctly at the start of the quest “Where the Dead Must Go.” “.
- Fixed a bug where Emmrich was sometimes unavailable on the ability wheel during the Where the Dead Must Go quest.
- Companion revivals are now correctly recharged at the start of The Last Gambit quest.
- The Kataranda now has its correct unique color.
- Fixed an issue with the critical hit and penetration modifiers of the warrior weapon “Double-edged pike”.
- Taash's cape on the “Legacy of Rivain” armor no longer stretches in cutscenes.
- The Guardian's “Simple Recruit Tunic” appearance no longer clings uncomfortably to Rook's neck.
- The “Light of Myths” mage weapon now deals its intended base physical damage (0).
- The mage weapon “Light of Mythal” now deals physical damage to enemy health if a physical damage enchantment is applied.
- Fixed cases where stat bonuses from certain valuable items in Treviso were applied incorrectly.
- Fixed cases where not all valuable items with stat increases were visible in Merchant Stores.
- Improved the textures of certain characters and objects in the environment.
- Fixed an issue where visual effects could become extremely bright.
- Fixed several distance pop-in issues.
- Fixed an issue that caused the camera to stutter when closing the Eluvian UI.
- Fixed several cases where quest objectives were not updating correctly during certain quests.
- The quest “On Deadly Wings” can now be completed even if the quest “A Slow Poison” has not been fully completed.
- The Mayor of D'Meta Crossing no longer appears in two locations at once during the Spared Lives quest.
- One of the Wights will no longer fail to appear at the Crossroads.
- Fixed an issue where a door would not open during the Athim Heights memory in the Regrets of the Relentless quest.
- The intended 2D cutscene now plays after the Walk of Shadows quest.
- Fixed an issue where the forward path could be blocked in the quest A Murder of Crows.
- Fixed a freezing issue during the quest In the Grasp of Entropy.
- Companions are now present when loading the first autosave in the Island of the Gods quest.
- The HDR calibration setting is now saved correctly between gaming sessions.
- Prevented several cases where Rook could get stuck while exploring Thedas.
- One of the appearance variations of the “Observer's Robe” is now correctly granted after completing the Unsettle and Conquer memory.
- Fixed a location in Arlathan Forest where Rook could get stuck in a drowning loop.
- Fixed cases where Rook forgot he already had the Lyrium Dagger and could not interact with treasure chests and altars.
- Codex entries that have already been read will no longer be marked as unread.
- Fixed an issue where the scrollbar could get stuck in the Codex screen.
- Ability enchantments now reset correctly when skill tree nodes are reset.
- The Crossroads Spirit Merchant now displays the faction reputation earned for the city that was destroyed when selling valuable items.
- Fixed a rare issue where certain skill tree nodes sometimes could not be unlocked.
- Some adjustments to the game credits.
