Israel ends indefinite custody regime for West Bank settlers

The Israeli Defense Minister believes that “it is not appropriate” for the Jewish state to apply such a “severe measure” while “unjustified international sanctions are being taken against settlers.”

Israel Katz, the Israeli Minister of Defense, announced this Friday, November 22 that the so-called administrative detention regime, equivalent to almost unlimited police custody, would no longer apply to Israeli settlers in the West Bank.
