Murder of : ten to twelve years of imprisonment required against the accused

If doubt still hangs over the real unfolding of the facts, the murder weapon, he agrees with the defense on the absence of self-defense as the accused insisted throughout the procedure. “That night, they’re all here for the fight. Mr. Lieury knows it, he is ready.” “He always thought he was in a situation of death. He positioned himself in defense, he hits before being hit,” explains his lawyer, Me Prédour, who pleads self-defense. “His only intention is to put an end to the aggression. He only learned of the death at the time of his arrest.”

Earlier, Me Le Reste, lawyer for the civil parties, parents, sister, cousins ​​of Guillaume Bertincourt, expressed the disappointment of this family at the end of these three days of hearing. “They expected a lot from Mr. Lieury, they didn’t learn more. This trial is nothing but a lie. Mr. Lieury, there is no point in apologizing when you have the floor one last time, how can we accept the apologies of a man who only lied, offending the family,” asserts 'lawyer. For him, Guillaume Lieury made the choice to kill. “He had a gas in one hand, a knife in the other, he chose the lethal weapon.”
