A watch for every day, especially if you play sports

With the Garmin Venu 3, you have a watch capable of competing with the Apple Watch, Google Pixel Watch and Samsung Galaxy Watch. The brand has done things well to offer a watch that is both aesthetic and equipped with advanced sensors to monitor your health data and sporting progress. But already, the screen: it is a 1.4″ round AMOLED model, touchscreen (a rarity for Garmin), which displays 454 x 454 pixels with good brightness for use in direct sunlight.

For the sensors, you are spoiled since you find the heart rate sensor which measures data linked to the heartbeat. There is also a pulse oximeter to collect the information necessary to measure the blood oxygenation rate (SpO2), an altimeter which calculates the height difference covered during an outdoor outing, the gyroscope which improves the precision of certain functionalities or activates the screen when the user turns their wrist. Finally, you find the skin thermometer to monitor certain parameters such as menstrual cycles in women.

A stylish smartwatch with 14 days of battery life

Garmin does not make fun of its users with an announced autonomy of up to 14 days. In fact, if you use all the sensors and put a lot of strain on the watch, it usually lasts around a week. It's half as much, but even so, it's still better than an Apple Watch or a Galaxy Watch which has to go through the charger every 1.5 days.

We're talking about a lifestyle watch, but it must be admitted that Garmin is trying to appeal to athletes with the Venu 3. You can clearly feel it when browsing the different virtual dials which clearly highlight the sports measurements. Even the navigation, with the physical buttons on the side and the general feeling is very sporty. So yes, the Garmin Venu 3 is a good branded hybrid sport/lifestyle watch, but it still leans towards the sporty side of the Force.

The Garmin Venu 3 came under the expert eye of our in-house test which condensed its opinion into a complete test where, spoiler alert, it still obtained a score of 9/10.
