He has lived in fear and anonymity for nine months. The principal who asked a student to remove her veil in the courtyard of the Maurice Ravel high school in the 20th arrondissement of , agreed to confide in the “Additional investigation” teams.

“As soon as there were the death threats, I thought of Samuel Paty and Dominique Bernard”confides the principal of the Maurice Ravel high school in the 20th arrondissement of Paris, referring to the two teachers murdered by radicalized young people.

The man, who agreed to meet the “Complément d’investigation” teams, confides that he immediately withdrew: “I avoided taking the metro, I no longer went out in the neighborhood, I kept watching to see who was passing, as if I were possibly going to spot a potential terrorist”he says. The event “traumatized” him, he admits today.

The origin of these threats was a rumor accusing him of having assaulted a veiled student. In a complaint dismissed, the student claims to have been pushed and hit on the arm. One of the perpetrators of the death threats has just been sentenced to a fine of 600 euros and a citizenship training course. The Paris prosecutor's office appealed this decision.
