the suspect arrested in Portugal

The man suspected of having fatally shot Lilian Dejean, a municipal employee, in (Isère) on September 8, was arrested in Portugal by the local police, we learned
News17 from consistent sources. The suspect, already known to the police, was quickly identified by investigators from the judicial police after the incident, but has so far been untraceable. An arrest which took place thanks to close collaboration between the Lyon PJ and the Portuguese police.

The killer was driving an Audi RS3 registered in Poland at the time of the incident. Around 7:30 a.m. this Sunday, September 8, he violently hit a Peugeot 2008 driven by an elderly woman from behind. Lilian Dejean intervened and tried to stop the driver who was fleeing. The latter then opened fire, hitting the father of two twice, who died a few hours later in hospital. Born in the Olympic Village district, Lilian Dejean had been employed for more than twenty years in the urban cleaning service of the City of Grenoble, where he had risen through the ranks to become a trainer.
