Prize for excellence in scientific innovation for UQAT

The University of Quebec in Abitibi-Témiscamingue won the Excellence in Scientific Innovation Award. The distinction was presented to the educational establishment during the Quebec mine energy + 2024 event which is taking place this week at the Quebec City Convention Center.

The UQAT project which won the prize aims to respond to geometallurgical challenges adapted to the context of exploitation of critical and strategic minerals (MCS) such as nickel. The award was presented by the Scientific Research Network and recognizes the collaborative and innovative collaborative aspects of the project. It also aims to transfer scientific and technological knowledge between the university and the companies involved in the Agnico Eagle project, Les Technologies Clemex and Dumont Nickel.
